Artefaks arose from an urgent need: to put independent creators, who have little or no access to traditional broadcasting channels, into contact with a public eager to make new discoveries, but who are poorly served by the arts market.
The Internet, with its ability to bring people together, seemed like the perfect solution. We imagined a shared website, offering artists space to showcase and sell their work, that can be completely configured and personalized to suit them.
Artefaks is therefore a unique website of this type where artists and artisans in Quebec can sell their artwork, bypassing the middleman, for a very small cost. Artefaks is a dynamic team whose mission is to help local creators spread the word about their art and ensure their works are promoted to the public and the media. You create your works – we’ll take care of the rest!

All gallery-boutiques have their own Web address (URL), a configurable introduction page (profile, photos, introduction text), a messaging service, a dedicated RSS feed and a link to PayPal’s secured payment service. Lots of services – for a very low price!
All artwork purchased is paid for via the secured payment site, PayPal. Buyers and sellers never have to reveal their banking details to anyone, not even to Artefaks! Fund transfers are carried out automatically and transparently, using the most secure technology. Much better than waiting for a cheque to arrive…

Announce your events on our calendar. It’s free and open to all our members. What’s more, Artefaks distributes the calendar every week to its press list. Believe us, word gets out!
Our mission at Artefaks is to actively promote the site and its artists to the public via local and international media. Therefore, we regularly carry out media relations and advertising campaigns. Keep an eye out!
